Dr. Shawn P. Dolan     


Dr. Dolan knew at age 8 she wanted to become a large animal veterinarian.  At the age of 4 she started riding lessons and at 11 she was solely responsible for her first pony.

Pursuing her dreams she attended Michigan State University.  She first graduated with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science followed by a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  She furthered her education by studying at Options for Animals becoming IVCA certified in animal chiropractic.  Later she studied acupuncture at the Chi Institute becoming certified in animal acupuncture.  Dr. Dolan began her solo practice in 2009 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in West Michigan for over a decade.

Dr. Dolan lives with her husband, Scott, their 2 dogs, 2 horses and 2 goats.  She enjoys traveling, riding her horses and spending time on the water.

Dr. Rachel Wright       

“Associate Veterinarian”

Dr. Rachel Wright grew up in a small rural town in West Michigan. Her family had a hobby farm and primarily raised beef steers and chickens. Since a young age, she has had a passion for horses and began taking formal riding lessons around the age of 10.

Dr. Wright attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate education and was active in the Pre-Veterinary Medical Association as well as the MSU Rodeo Club. She graduated through the Michigan State University Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She continued her education at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her veterinary training, Dr. Wright studied equine acupuncture through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and received her acupuncture certification.  Dr. Rachel has completed her training to specialize in animal chiropractic and is AVCA certified.

Dr. Wright joined the Renewed Animal Wellness team in 2016. She has special interests in holistic and integrative medicine, sports medicine and lameness, and reproduction.

Dr. Wright lives locally with her husband and step-son, along with her cat and horse.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trail riding, and cooking.

Scott Marlett      

“Practice Manager”

Scott is a native of West Michigan.  After high school he joined the Coast Guard and  attended the Coast Guard Academy where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Management.  Upon leaving the Coast Guard, Scott managed resorts in Northern and West Michigan.  He later met Shawn and joined the practice full time.  Scott has many jobs in addition to managing the practice. He serves as IT, marketing, maintenance and veterinary assistant.  He enjoys spending time with his wife Shawn on their boat, working on their farm property and taking care of their dogs, goats and horses.


Cheryl Cooper      

“Office Manager”

Cheryl is a West Michigan native.  She has worked with Scott for over a decade and started part-time with Dr. Dolan.  Later she joined the team full time.  Cheryl has an extensive background in accounting.

Cheryl is an animal lover. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets at home. Her hobbies include motorcycle riding, kayaking, camping, and bowling.

Hassan Fadel

      “Veterinary Assistant”

Hassan or “Hass” as he is known to clients, has been working with Dr. Dolan for over 10 years.  Hassan graduated college with a degree in Emergency Medical Services, Outdoor Emergency Care, Fire Science and an associates in Applied Sciences.  Hassan has always had a love for animals and veterinary medicine.  Since he was young, he has owned and been around large animals.  He enjoys all aspects of large animal medicine but has special interests in assisting with surgeries, wound management, laceration repair and emergencies. He is glad he can continue to work for the practice in addition to his other work. Veterinary medicine is still one of his favorite pursuits and he never feels like he’s really working when doing it.

Hassan was born and raised in West Michigan.  He has two dogs, a cat and a mini horse.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, camping, skiing and riding his ATV.
